This is cool stuff. This USB Beverage Chiller, powered by your USB port, can have its chillplate go as cold as 45?F (7?C). That is only for the chillplate though, not your drink.
Nevertheless, this is totally awesome for people like myself that hates getting up from the computer.
Currently there’s no pricing details on its official website, you have to send them an enquiry email instead. Don’t you hate websites like these?
Update: The USB Beverage Chiller is now available for purchase online! Available at CoolIt Systems for just US$39.99.

Yes, I loathe websites like that. Reminds me of when I was a kid looking a video game magazines and the adverts with list 100s of games, each with POA next to it for the price!
I’m sure they lose a load of potential customers that way…

i doubt it gets your drink too cold, probably just makes the bottom rim of the can a little cold to the touch

Probably works till you spill your drink all over it ….like my poor keyboard

And as a bonus, you could set your laptop ON it to keep it from overheating!

Heat conductive plate + chip heatsink, fan on a usb plug. Cheap plastic casing & paint it blue.
Very novel :- )
if it doesn’t have a few blue leds on it, I’ll be quite unimpressed.
