I am currently a soldier in Iraq for a 545 day term. I was pretty much thrown out of my life in a couple of days and sent overseas. Thus resulting in my home sickness from all my "tech gear". I have a 60" tv and lots of kewl stuff, yet half way around the world and no way to have them shipped. I did eventually have my alienware laptop sent to me and that helped a bit. But I still wanted more.

This is when I researched Virtual Reality and found the www.i-glassesstore.com and fell in love. They have everything including the reasonable iTheater! I say reasonable due to the fact they have systems up to $3,000. But I found the iTheater on sale for only $349.99. I figured it was worth a look and noticed you could buy a wireless adapter to make it 100% wireless. Now not only is it inexpensive, it has an 8 hour battery life, hooks up to any video device including PSP, PS2, LAPTOPS, DVD PLAYERS, and MORE!

For those also wondering, it does fit over your personal glasses. Extensive research on these prove they have no negative effects on the eyes under normal use. (8 hours a day is not normal) And for those who say it is stupid to say <b>"Great for on the go"</b>, you are wrong. As an Army Soldier, we have a lot of time flying around. It takes over 24 hours alone to fly from California to Iraq. Do you know what passes the time best? A great movie on my iTheater. Last, I heard a lot of talk about having poor speakers... The speakers on this thing are crystal clear with great bass. A must have product!

<b>Here are some other useful facts:</b>
Field of View: 26 Degrees Diagonal
1.44 Million Pixels per Display
Virtual Image Size: 70" at 13'
Color Depth: 24 Bit Input
IPD Adjustments: None Required
Eye Relief: 25mm
Exit Pupil: 17mmH x 6mmV
Convergence: 7'10", 100% Overlap, TBR
PAL/NTSC Composite or S-video Input: Scaled to 800 x 600
Refresh Rate: 60Hz NTSC, 50Hz PAL
Input Frequency: 50 or 60 Hz
Audio: Full Stereo
Weight: 7 Ounces
Adjusts to Fit all Individuals
Control Features: On / Off, Volume Control, OSD Controls
Power Supply: Power Cube
HMD Audio Cable Configuration: Red and White RCA connectors
Power: Barrel Connector

Ok.. first of all.. you CAN use your glasses in it!! No problem at all..
And second of all it will not damage your eyes, because if it would we would all be blinded by 40inch flat tv's 3 metres from our eyes by now!

I've tried this one and all i can say is.. IT'S SUCH AN EXPERIENCE.. TAKES YOUR WATCHING, GAMING, LISTENING EXPERIENCES TO A WHOLE NEW LEVEL!!!

You'd be surprised how comfortable it is watching you're favourite Game,
Tv series, own video selections all by yourself while in bed fully resting your body!

Anyway IF YOU BUY one you will not regret it!!
if you don't by one.. then you're missing out a truly great gadget!!

are ya nearsighted or farsighted? if you need reading glasses you're probably SOL (perhaps the increasingly popular pen type glasses will fit inside the display), but farsighted folks won't have a problem.. focal distance is nil.. it may look like a 50 inch screen 8 feet away, but it's still an inch from you're eyes. focus problems for us intellectuals are caused by improper refraction over real distances and not virtual ones ;)

:/ my god, something like this was introduced yeeaaarrsss ago, atleast where i come from (the U.K., god save the queen), it cost around £300, at the time it seemed like a good idea, but think about it, if staring at a screen 10 inches away damages your eyes, just ponder what damage would this do? (by that i mean light and optical damage etc, not radiation, as its a TFT screen)

id stay away from this one if your a hardcore gamer or use this type of exuipment of extended periods of time... unless you want to be visually impaired of course...

but what the hell would i know :), im sure theres a smartass out there just dying to proove this one wrong

funny quote from the site "So whether you're on the go or just relaxing at home, the iTheater is ready for you"...

"on the go"... the only thing "one the go" will be your visor, while your "on the floor" putting your face back together :/

well... whatever

320x240?!? Even if it is a really cool idea, who in hell would ever want to watch a "50 inch TV screen" or its rough equivalent in 320x240? Welcome to pixelville.

"How does this connect to the PSP, and can we get confirmation?"

there is no way that this connects tot he psp because there isn't any video output from it

but it would probably work with psp2tv but thats like 200 bucks extra
