It sure took them long. Before Olympus EVOLT E-330 DSLR, the best that DSLR users could do is look at photos only after they’re taken. So unlike point-and-shoot cameras, taking a photo requires using the viewfinder. Not that using a viewfinder is bad, it’s a great handholding technique. But still, there are times when you just want to point-and-shoot with the LCD.
The 2.5-inch LCD is adjustable, providing 160-degrees of viewing angle and allowing you to shoot over a crowd or held at the hips. Another great feature of this camera is the Olympus’ Dust Reduction System. It removes dust in front of the camera sensor with ultrasonic technology that does 35,000 vibrations a second.
The Olympus EVOLT E-330 with 14-45mm f3.5/5.6 Zuiko Digital Zoom Lens is expected to be available March 2006, at an estimated price of $1099.99, whereas the body alone will be $999.99.

The EVOLT E-330 DSLR is indeed cool and more easy to use…as you have said, it is really useful to ba able to just point and shoot with an LCD and I’m happy the folks over at the company finally were able to get this feature in
Thanks for the review

Though the E-330 is the first interchangeable-lens DSLR with a live LCD preview, the Olympus E-10 and E-20n/p cameras were actually the first DSLRs with a live LCD preview.
