[Comment ID #1401 Will Be Quoted Here]

It probably doesn't heat up much, given that the polymer wouldn't completely harden at a few degrees below AND that it's a gradual process, so some areas are hardening while others are still liquid, and then the heat that's being released from the already hardened--------but that's more than enough to think about...
The idea is clearly to maintain as close to what is thought to be a "comfortable" internal climate as possible without going into the extremes(that's where Law of Conservation comes into play, as someone mentioned, since only the amount of energy absorbed can be released)

...I wonder if they have any plans of releasing this tech. for males....(not in the same fashion, of course)

I still don't get it. Why would you want underwear that heats up if it's barely less than 25c out? Wouldn't you rather have it heat up if it was below 0c? Just a thought...

Hehe, the lingerie itself doesn't melt. It's the polymer that melts. :D

Yet another one of you doesn't get it... entirely, at least. So let me jump on this band wagon and explain how it is until the next person in line tells me I'm entirely wrong aswell in the true tradition of the internet. Some materials have the ability to actually give off heat when changing to a denser state of matter, like when cement hardens, and vice versa in order to cool off, like when quickly releasing the contents from a pressurized can, so according to the law of conservation of energy, some of the heat produced by this stupid womens underwear (why are all of us guys?) was actually stored in the form of potential energy untill the temp dropped to below 25 C. Kinda like a glow in the dark type thing, but with heat instead of light. But yeah, only a small percentage of the heat is actually stored and the rest is just dissapated. Reason why I'm writing this post? Because I can. And you don't know me. And I'm very bored waiting for a ride. If somebody confronted me about writing this in real life, I would totally deny it. It's kinda fun though. In fact, I'm gonna go somewhere else right now on the internet and participate in the most dummest ass thing untill my ride gets here. I might even come back here to post a link to it when I'm done. Peace out :)
