Japanese funerals caught on a new camera phone craze

Has technology made us forget traditions?

There seem to be a new bizarre trend going on now in Japan, where funeral attendees would use their camera cellphones to capture the last moments of the deceased. During the ceremony, people would gather around the coffin, collectively take out their camera phones, and begin snapping pictures of the corpse before the cremation begins.

A gesture of remembrance? Or a complete disrespect?
