Apparently so, according to the results of Google’s research on what people has been searching for with their cellphones. In fact, 20% of all Google searches via cellphones are related to adult material, whereas only 8.5% of all PC searches are for adult content. One would assume that cellphones with their small screens aren’t ideal for this purpose, but the Googlers’ explanation for this is “people regard their phones as intensely personal devices”. This does seem logical, as you probably shared your computer with others more times than your cellphone.
What’s interesting is that only 5% of queries from PDAs are adult-oriented. PDAs don’t seem to have much privacy issues. So does this imply that PDA users are less horny?

Quite a ridiculous set of findings to publish in my opinion. It is not that people find porn on their phones more enjoyable, its simply that porn is one of the only things that can be ‘used’ via a cellphone.
To some extent you can enjoy porn on a cellphone, but you cant really spend time researching for example, your school history project.
If a man is placed on a train for 5 hours with a cellphone and another man is placed infront of a computer for 5 hours both with equal amounts of things that they are interested in and must do, the man on the train is going to look at some porn and possibly a bit of news and then accept that he can’t be doing much else. The man at the computer is going to look at some porn, then some news, then click random links, then maybe get on with some work for which he needs information from the internet.
With regards to PDAs, like a computer you can do a lot more on a PDA than on a cellphone when it comes to work related tasks.

All right… this “research result” just shows how stupid the people at google are. There is no corilation between results here. The simple conclution is that there a several millions more pages that are not visible on cellphones because of the screen size(i.e. you can’t access most websites via cellphones because the they are a pain in the ass to read & navigate).
And also, as a response to NB and his very immature comment that has nothing to do with this article… People dont rape because of porn. A lot of rapest are abused or molested when they were children and they are stuck in the cycle of abuse. Another reason why they do it because when they were developing emotionaly, they were ashamed of themselves sexually because of poeple like you. Then the deviated from the sexual norm and feel that thats the only way that they can get it. The rest is a biological instinct that they have no control over. One can lable it as a mental illness. I don’t think this survey has any relevance as there are alot more pc users than there are PDA and cell phone users. Though cell phones and PDA’s are quickly catching up to pcs in regards to the number of users, the availability of porn on a pc is standard. All you need is an internet connection. Not every cell phone and PDA is capable of downloading porn. An amusing survey nonetheless.

Saying someone is bad for looking at porn is the same as saying someone is bad for being homosexual, or A-Sexual(someone who only has sex with them selves). Watching porn just another form of sexuality and constitutes as an ethnic group. Just like Homo/Hetero/Bi-sexuality. Hating it is the same thing as Homophobia and supressing pornography it just makes you racist, and un-christian.
Jesus Christ talked about treating people the way you wanted to be treated. Would you like an a-sexual or homosexual person who is against looking at anyone of the opposite sex’s naked body to say that you are bad for looking at a woman’s and that by showing that you and your significant other have sex(i.e. public displays of emotion, and showing that you are married in public by wearing a wedding ring)… In turn, makes other people who are not mentally healthy to want what you have(a sexual life)… in turn, making them rape to get it; and what about Catholic priests, they don’t look at porn and look at what it drives them to.
Part of having a normal sexual life is looking at pornography. If you belief it’s bad then you are not sexually healthy, and spreading your beliefs does nothing but propagate hatred and sexual disfunctionality, not to mention it is a form of oppression and a mental illness itself. As well, not ejaculating on a regular can cause Prostate Cancer. Do you really want someone to die early because you said they can’t have a normal sexual life…
