Sony Ericsson just announced the K790 and K800 cellphones that are packed with digicam goodness. Sony Ericsson can’t just slap the Cyber-shot branding on them and have them give you crappy photos right? Here are the camera-related features:
- 3.2 megapixel camera with lens cover
- 16x digital zoom
- Auto-focus
- Xenon flash
- Dedicated shutter button
- Auto red eye reduction
- PictBridge support
- Image stabilization
- BestPic - A new feature that takes 9 full quality shots on a single shutter-press, 4 before the actual image and 4 after. These 9 shots are then presented to you as icons and you get to select the one you deem best of the lot.
- Picture blogging (powered by Blogger)
And here’s the rest of its functions:
- K800: Dual-mode UMTS/GPRS
- K790: Tri-band EDGE (K790a - 850/1800/1900, K790i - 900/1800/1900 MHz)
- 2.0-inch QVGA 262k TFT display
- 64MB internal memory, expandable via Memory Stick Micro (M2) slot
- RSS reader
- MP3/AAC music player
- RDS FM radio
- 106 x 47 x 22 mm (4.1 x 1.8 x 0.9 inch)
The K790 and K800 will be available within the next few months, within second quarter of this year.
