The Sony Ericsson K790/K800 has a very professional look to it. The back looks exactly like a regular digital camera.

Sony Ericsson just announced the K790 and K800 cellphones that are packed with digicam goodness. Sony Ericsson can’t just slap the Cyber-shot branding on them and have them give you crappy photos right? Here are the camera-related features:

The K790 and K800 has a generously large screen for enjoying your photos.
  • 3.2 megapixel camera with lens cover
  • 16x digital zoom
  • Auto-focus
  • Xenon flash
  • Dedicated shutter button
  • Auto red eye reduction
  • PictBridge support
  • Image stabilization
  • BestPic – A new feature that takes 9 full quality shots on a single shutter-press, 4 before the actual image and 4 after. These 9 shots are then presented to you as icons and you get to select the one you deem best of the lot.
  • Picture blogging (powered by Blogger)

Even the sides look sleek!

And here’s the rest of its functions:

  • K800: Dual-mode UMTS/GPRS
  • K790: Tri-band EDGE (K790a – 850/1800/1900, K790i – 900/1800/1900 MHz)
  • 2.0-inch QVGA 262k TFT display
  • 64MB internal memory, expandable via Memory Stick Micro (M2) slot
  • RSS reader
  • MP3/AAC music player
  • RDS FM radio
  • 106 x 47 x 22 mm (4.1 x 1.8 x 0.9 inch)

The K790 and K800 will be available within the next few months, within second quarter of this year.
