Sony is officially pulling the plug on the PSOne – the redesigned version of the original PlayStation. With PS2 and the soon-to-release PS3 both supporting PS1 games, there is little reason for Sony to continue manufacturing them anyway. Also, with an upcoming game download service and emulator from Sony, PSP users will also be able to download and play selected PSOne titles.

Yeah a download service and emulator huh, I think ive been doing that for quite some time now. Sony sucks anyway and they always screw themselves over in the long run. Defective products and the PSP come to mind. Look at all the problems they have been having with the un-downgradable firmware.
