Here’s an interesting feature found on the HP Photosmart R927 digital camera. When the “slimming feature” is turned on, the camera attempts to make the subject of the photo slimmer in a very subtle way. It won’t turn fat chicks into Paris Hilton, but every little bit helps I guess.
Other features:
- 8.2 Megapixel
- 3x optical zoom and 8x digital zoom
- Dimensions: 96mm x 25.6mm x 62mm
- Weight: 170 grams without battery
- PictBridge
Now, go get one at $399.99 and make your girlfriend/boyfriend happy.

I don’t really see any diference.
April 12th, 2006 at 5:13 pm
Same. It just looks the same.
April 12th, 2006 at 8:09 pm
Well, both looks the same but at the left is a little more close up and on the right is a little more backward slightly..nice try.

Dude, that’s Hurley from Lost. Some camera’s not going to make him slimmer, he needs to stop eating all that damn Dharma food!
April 13th, 2006 at 6:43 am
Or I could spend less than the price of the camera getting a new girlfriend…

Look closer at his face. It is narrower in the image on the right. There is no zooming
April 27th, 2006 at 9:21 pm
phwoar, he’s right hunky.
April 27th, 2006 at 9:23 pm
erm,i mean.. chunky
April 27th, 2006 at 10:04 pm
Slimmer picture?! He’s still a fatty in real life. What a gimmick
April 27th, 2006 at 10:12 pm
yeah, keep letting us think that we can cover up being fat.
they should make a camera that adds 20 pounds rather than the already established 10.
April 27th, 2006 at 10:26 pm
ok, it has sideburns, so i’m guessing it is in fact a male, i do think the idea of this camera is stupid, i mean who the heck really cares if you look thinner in the picture, if your still a fatass in real life? i’m sure every fat internet date site junkie will own one of these
April 27th, 2006 at 10:34 pm
So what, hes overweight…what makes you think you should talk about someone like that? Plus this is suposed to be comments about the camera, not the damn picture. Lamers.
April 27th, 2006 at 11:52 pm
i’m guessing that the person above me is in fact a fatass as well
April 28th, 2006 at 1:14 am
Well it might not make a difference to the person looking at it. But to the person in the picture it makes the biggest difference. Your your worse critic right?
April 28th, 2006 at 3:32 am
Wake up. It’s the exact same picture, right? Which means what? THAT IT WAS PHOTOSHOPPED!!! This isn’t an actual picture of the camera’s effects. C’mon. Are you all that retarded??

ok, i think we can all see that the whole point of this camera is it has a button that does that for you, so you dont have to photoshop-chop
April 28th, 2006 at 8:12 am
this camera is a lazy fatty’s dream come true
April 28th, 2006 at 1:39 pm
She looks fatter in the fixed picture…
-kyu
April 28th, 2006 at 4:25 pm
Yeah, the image is exactly the same image, so it is Photoshop’ed, but the technology is not a bad idea. Plenty of . . . *larger* . . . people just avoid cameras. Perhaps I’ll actually be able to take nude photos of my wife with this camera! Seriously though, all I can really tell that it does is squish the whole image, which is taught as seriously bad in most graphic design schools, and can be done in almost any image editing software, even Paintbrush can do this for you. All in all, it’s a great idea, but I would spend my money on more important things, like twinkies.
April 29th, 2006 at 5:00 am
Haha, it would be funny if you could reverse it and make them thicker. Then it would be more fun to take pictures of people you don’t like (or if you’re just into that sort of thing).
Assuming, of course, that this whole thing isn’t total BS.

April 30th, 2006 at 12:56 am
Wow, if you actually look at it, the picture on the left is slimmer. THe camera makes it looks slimmer. It’s jsut liek photoshoping it but it doesn’t take away your time. You guys are stupid have bad vision. Fatasses on the computer too much.
May 1st, 2006 at 12:11 pm
I think what they did was took a picture of a fat chick and made her spend months and months in a gym to loose 15 pounds and then took the picture again
May 2nd, 2006 at 12:16 pm
hmm…who really cares if the camera makes you look slimmer…youre still fat in real life.
May 3rd, 2006 at 11:55 pm
wow holy cow it the same picture.. nothing is changed.. And thats a dude not a chick.. I hope.. Anyways.. if you really want the camera to make you not look fat.. try not being fat… lazy bastards.. I used to be fat.. but moving your arms and legs besides to eat really kinda helps. Screw this whole stupid slimming technology.. Which is exactly what we need even more people online being dishonest about them selves. Holy crap you dont like the way you look change it yourself.
