The MacBook Pro has gotten its Intel Core 2 Duo upgrade, and now it is MacBook’s turn.
Here are the specifications of the new Core 2 Duo model vs the previous Core Duo model:
In short, new C2D processors, double the memory for 2.0GHz models, higher-capacity hard drives and dual-layer SuperDrives. And Apple claims a 25% improvement in performance. The three MacBook models go for US$1,099, US$1,299 and US$1,499 respectively.
As they always say, the best time to get a Mac is right after it gets an update. So for those of you thinking of switching to Mac (like I did a few weeks ago!) and going portable, now’s a good time to get either a MacBook or a MacBook Pro!

It’s about time and expected. Now let’s wait for the mac mini to be upgraded soon!

Indeed, Danny! But I guess it would take another couple of months before the Mac mini gets upgraded.

That’s true, on 2nd thoughts we might have to wait till early next year to see Merom chips in the Mac Mini. Hopefully alongside with Leopard’s release?

I say we sit in a circle every night, draw leopards on the sand, and pray. It might just come sooner.

Yeah, that’s a great idea.
Chances are the moon and starts will align themselves so that Leopard will be released alongside with Vista on January 30 too. =)
