Microvision's tiny projector

As mobile gadgets – especially cellphones – get smaller and thinner, their LCD displays get way too small as well. This makes sharing that funny/sexy/cool video clip on your cellphone with a group of friends a little difficult. Wouldn’t it be nice if our cellphones can act as a projector and project its screen onto a nearby wall? Microvision aims to do just that.

Microvision has unveiled its latest trick, an ultra-miniature full-color digital projection display approximately the size of a candy. It is a prototype, so we don’t expect the technology to be out soon. But, at least we know someone out there is working on it right now.

As long as the phone goes off in the middle of the projected clip that would fully recreate the movie theater experience.

ahhh i can see this being used in PDA’s so they can have a bigger screen projected onto say a desk or wall and microcomputers (thats if the microcomputers have been invented yet)
