The MicroHDTV from Fraunhofer Institute in Germany measures at merely 1.5 x 3 inches, while delivering HD (1920×1080) resolution videos. It’s like spycams going HD. The camcorder could also prove useful for replacing current security cameras that struggle to capture face details. Who knows, it could make it into cellphones in the future too.
- Sensor: 2/3″ Single Chip CMOS Sensor
- Formats: PAL, NTSC
- 720i @100, 120 Hz

It’s one of those nifty stuffs that hasn’t made it out to the mass market, so there’s no price. But, do watch out for home-made HD Paris Hilton vids in the future.

How is this a “camcorder”? How much storage? Isn’t this just a camera?
