Chrono_Shredder Chrono Shredder

Want a not-so-normal calendar? Try Chrono_Shredder. Designed by artist/designer Susanna Hertrich, the Chrono_Shredder is a modified paper shredder that shreds a date page every 24 hours. Great conversation piece, or a great way to mess up your home.

“The Chrono_Shredder is a device that makes past time tangible. It is a hybrid between calendar, clock and waste producing automaton. It has no on/off-button, thus it is unstoppable, just like time. It features the 365 days of the year represented on a paper-roll. The paper-roll is led through a hacked paper-shredder, which is programmed to use exactly 24 hours to shred one “day”.”

Some people just need a way to visualize how important time is, how it is slipping (or shredding) away every second.

The product is not available for sale at the time of this post.

This is a really neat gadget, with a shredder that takes cares fo the months that go by without having to lift a hand ourselves, talk about the lazyoy calender version. Shredders were basically invented to help us to destroy documents securely, not really sure if laziness was the motivation bhehind this invention, but whatever was the motive it is really neat, no doubts abt that.
