Glo Pillow Wakes You Gently with Light

MP3 Players, Mobile

The Glo Pillow is an alarm pillow that wakes you up gently with a gradually intensifying light. No more screaming alarm clocks! The LED light gradually increases in intensity for 40 minutes, simulating a real sunrise.

And when you lift your head off the pillow, it displays the current time in easy-to-read dot matrix fonts.

The pillow is still in prototype stage.

Sounds like another awesome way to wake up in the morning. One has to wonder how comfortable a pillow with an LED light in it is, though. I really hope this becomes successful all the same!

Very innovative idea. Nice post Leon. I read about the LED fitted pillow at another website too and I think it can do very successfully in stores if marketed properly. Your concern is valid Laz. All it needs is getting publisized to the right audience. If the owners use some tool like MyPRGenie (http://www.myprgenie.com/technology/) which allows building PR and develops excellent marketing strategies for new innovative products like these, I think this pillow will not remain a pillow :D by connecting to the right customer base… this idea can make loads of money!

Thank you, Randy. Indeed, I’m sure to be a buyer as long as its price is right and it works as well as it’s described. :)

  4. John Says:

Yeah what a stupid idea. You set your alarm for 7:00 and you end up waking at 7:40. Blurgle.

  5. Leon Says:

Hi John, actually I believe it starts glowing 40 minutes before the set time. But of course, you could say that is stupid too, as it might wake you at 6:20. :)

  1. imgadget.ca » Exchange Your Alarm Clock for a Glo Pillow Says:

[...] The Glo Pillow welcomes an age free of annoying, high-pitched alarm clocks. Still in the prototype stage, this product aims to wake you up in a more gentle manner by emitting a gradually intensifying bright light over forty minutes, so as to imitate a natural sunrise. Once you’re awake, a digital clock appears on the pillow to show you what time it is.  [hiptechblog.com] [...]
