The Apple’s “Get A Mac” advertisements are so well-received that Apple has decided to make Japanese versions of them. Here are the three that they are starting with, titled ‘Nickname’, ‘Virus’ and ‘iLife’.
Two more videos below. Alternatively, visit Apple’s website for higher resolution videos (takes longer to download of course!).

Another year, another successful Macworld. Mr. Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple Computer just announced another rousing report for its line of products. From the sales of their iPods to the launch of new Intel-based iMacs and MacBook, Macs fanatics around the world have another reason to save up for their next Apple gadget.

iPod
It was announced that 14 million iPods were sold in the last quarter itself, for a grand total of 42 million being snapped up since it was launched. 850 million songs were also downloaded from Apple’s flagship online music store, iTunes. Apple forecast that they are on the way to hitting a billion in the next weeks. That is over a billion songs a year run rate, and their market share continues to be very strong at 83 percent.

iPod users who have always mourned the lack of a FM receiver built-in finally have something to cheer about this time round. The remote control with FM Tuner, introducing at $49, looks much sexier than any other 3rd party tuners out there.

Applications
New version of iPhoto was announced, which will have huge speed improvements over previous versions. There’s also a new feature, Photocasting, which is simply podcasting for photos. Sharing of photos over the internet just got easier. Pick an album, push a button, and photos are uploaded to your .Mac, with optional password protection. Your friends can also subscribe to your photo feeds. How easier can it get?

Steve Jobs also did a reviewing/recapping of Aperture. For the uninitiated, Aperture is to the camera as Final Cut Pro is to video. New versions of iLife, iMovie, iWork and GarageBand were unveiled. And there’s a new application for sharing photos, movies, music, blogs and content, called iWeb.

In short, Apple has done everything it could to up the experience of using a Mac.

The Intel Macs
Featuring the Intel Core Duo processor (which are actually two processors engineered onto a single chip), the new iMac is now 2 to 3 times faster than the iMac G5. Physically, sizes remained at the same 17″ and 20″. Design remains the same, features such as iSight, Front Row, and Apple Remote remains, and the same price tag remains as well. It’s something that no other desktop PC can match right now.

Fans of the PowerBook were not left out either. Introducing the MacBook Pro!

Just like the new iMac, the MacBook Pro contains the Intel Core Duo processor and runs at 4 to 5 times faster than its predecessor. It is no doubt the fastest Apple notebook ever. Weighing 5.6lbs (2.54kg), it has a built-in iSight and sports a 15.4-inch LCD, which is as bright as their Cinemas Display line of LCD screens. Porting over from the iMacs, it has also got the IR sensor and the Apple Remote with Front Row built right in.

Yet another really cool feature is the new MagSafe. The power adapter is magnetically held in. When the cord gets yanked it just pulls right off. Other standard features: One-inch thin, backlit keyboard with ambient light sensor, scrolling trackpad, sudden motion sensor, and DVI video out for 30-inch monitors. The MacBook Pro will start shipping only in February.

All in all, Apple has outshined itself again, launching a series of products that are going to take the industry by storm. Though unfortunately, rumors of the new Mac Mini and iPod shuffle didn’t materialize.

Simply amazing. Until the next time, Happy MacDreams!
