Here’s a fun way to spice up your Skype video calls. The Logitech Quickcam Sphere is a 1.3-megapixel webcam that is capable of modifying the way you look – put on a pair of glasses, wear a pirate eye patch, or even put on a pair of bunny ears and teeth. All these effects will cleverly “attach” to your face, thanks to its great facial recognition. Meaning glasses will stay on your eyes even when you move about and hairs will remain around your head as you nod or shake.

The webcam is also capable of modifying the whole screen, masking your face from your chat partner. Turn into a rabbit, a dinosaur, an alien and more. Again, powerful facial recognition allows the selected avatar to follow the movement of your mouth, eyes and eyebrows.

Additionally, I think the webcam looks really sleek with its black finish and spherical shape. It also features built-in microphone, low distortion, ultra-wide field of view, RightLight technology for better low-light performance, and a 9-inch stand to position the camera closer to eye-level.

Finally, there’s nothing better than an actual video to see the webcam’s video effects in action!

Thanks for taking care of us lefties, Logitech. The Logitech MX610 cordless laser mouse is ergonomically shaped to fit your hand comfortably, hence it was previously only usable with the right hand. And now, Logitech is making a left handed version of it. The mouse offers great wireless connectivity, laser sensor, dedicated IM and email buttons, tiltable scroll wheel, forward/backward buttons for web browsing, and volume controls.

I’m sure many lefty gamers will appreciate this left handed mouse. It’ll be available worldwide come April at a suggested price of $59.99.
