Keeping fit while having fun! If you own a Wii, here comes the motivation to do some exercises. Wii Fit is a new game that works with the new Wii Balance Board. The Wii Balance Board is a wireless pressure-sensing device, that is able to calculate your Body Mass Index (BMI) and your center of mass.

The combination means the ability to provide you with about 40 fun activities to do at the comfort of your home!

Activities include:

• Yoga Poses
  Deep Breathing, Half-Moon, Warrior, Tree, Sun Salutation, Standing Knee, Palm Tree, Chair, Triangle, Downward-Facing Dog, King Of The Dance, Cobra, Bridge, Crocodile Twist, Shoulder Stand.
• Muscle Workouts
  Single Leg Extension, Press-Up and Side Stand, Torso and Waist Twists, Jackknife, Lunge, Rowing Squat, Single Leg twist, Sideways Leg Lift, Parallel Stretch, Tricep Extension, Arm and Leg Lift, Single Arm Stand, Press-Up Challenge, Jackknife Challenge, Stretch Challenge.
• Aerobic exercise

• Balance games

Wii Fit was released in Japan on December 1, 2007, in Europe on April 25, 2008, and May 8, 2008 in Australia. The game is scheduled for release on May 19, 2008 in North America. Get notified by Amazon when Wii Fit is available.

Nintendo is listening! In an attempt to fix the many flying wiimote issues that have been appearing all over the web, Nintendo is making the strap thicker.

The Wiimotes that come equipped with these new straps will be initially available in Australia. Until it reaches your shores or to fix the Wiimote that you already got, learn to love the fishing line!

People everywhere are reporting about their cracked TV due to their Wiimote slipping out of their slippery hands. So how can you prevent that from happening to your new HDTV? Why, by standing far away from the TV of course. But, how far can you go?

Two dudes by the name of Mike and Luke decided to do a little test on the Wiimote’s maximum range, and it turned out to be up to 400 feet (~122 meters). How crazy! Bowling on Wii Sports: Bowling was supposedly still pretty accurate even from across the street.

Alternatively, get one of these JOYTECH Wii Silicon Gloves if your TV is not mega-huge and you can’t see a damn thing from 400 feet away.

A guy and his poor buddy were playing Wii Sports: Bowling on their new Wii for more than 24 hours. And on what must have been his 300th bowl, his sweaty hand slips…

The wrist strap should have saved the Wiimote from flying right? Apparently not, as the strap broke at the same moment.

And so that white, solid brick of Wiimote flew right at the 60-inch rear projection TV like a bullet and cracked that monster’s face. Better go secure your Wiimote’s strap before your next Wii’ing session!

Not quite sure why, but I like the way the guy said that line.

Simply amazing!

After so much speculation, Nintendo has finally revealed the official price of their next generation gaming console, the Nintendo Wii.

Nintendo says it’ll be Â¥25,000 in Japan, which translates to around US$220 with the current exchange rate.

So non-PS3 fanboys, would you buy the Wii?

Check out the Nintendo Wii video above that was shown at E3. Looks cool and all, swinging the Wii Remote around as if you’re actually playing the real golf/tennis/FPS. But really, we’ll only know how well it’ll catch on when it’s eventually released. Home console input devices that require exaggerated movements have never ever really caught on.

The controller will also feature a built-in speaker, in an attempt to up its degree of in-game immersion. The twang of a bowstring or the clang of two clashing blades is the kind of “close-up” sound you’ll expect to hear through the speaker.

What’s comforting to know is that Nintendo will be releasing a Classic controller (pictured right) that will work just like our typical and familiar controllers. No needs to swing the Wii Remote around like a nunchaku.
